terms on the purchase
of two industrial condominiums & co-ordinating contractors during
their conversion into dance
studios. Rental of third bay to open a dance boutique, with the option

awareness of the general feeling of students and parents with regard
to the policies of the
school and it's staff .
Financial Control /
Administration
Manage all finances including
revenue projections, cost control, cash management, payroll
preparation and bank financing.
Carry out general administration including writing of correspondence
and records
management.
Teaching
Was the creator and only teacher
when the school began, teaching up to 30 hours a week
for the first five years, and presently teaching upwards of 15 hours a
week .
Teach ballet, tap, modern, song and dance and jazz dancing to children
from the age of
three years to adult.
Successfully completed courses required to become a qualified teacher
of dance.
Full Member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association.
Have prepared over 1000 students for the Royal Academy of Dance's
Ballet and Canadian
Dance Teachers Association's Jazz and Tap examinations with great
success.
Co-ordinate and evaluate all teaching programs, with a particular
emphasis on ensuring
teacher preparedness and full realisation of each student's potential.
Plan and conduct advanced and competitive classes for all age groups,
requiring accurate
analysis of individual / group needs, detailed lesson planning and
continuous student
evaluation .
Training and Staff development on an on-going basis
Present talks on business management, Dance School ownership and Dance
as a

Artistic Director of World Wide Dance For Peace a non profit
Company which has 20 different ethnic dance groups as active members.
The Company is a
group of young dancers, gymnasts and singers working artistically for
the promotion of peace
and understanding between people of all nations. Performing alongside
the different cultures of
Canada with love, unity and co-operation to produce powerful messages
against racism and
supporting human rights.
The company's first productions,
(1993), choreographed and produced by Elaine Hunter were
:
An hour long show for Canada Day on Parliament Hill involving 250
dancers from 25
different ethnic groups.
The opening and closing of the evening CBC nationally televised
spectacle from
Parliament Hill in which 300 dancers took part.
Selected to represent Canada at
the Shanghai International Children's Cultural and Art
Festival in July 1994/7/2000. World Wide Dance For Peace performed in
the opening
ceremonies which was broadcast live to the people of Shanghai and
across China. The
theme of this festival was "Peace, Friendship, Future." The first
festival dance was entitled
"Harmony". Invited to return in 2003, 2007, Elaine Hunter will be
directing the final dance with all of the groups from accross the world.
Leader of the Canadian delegation
of sixty people at the First Shanghai International
Children's Cultural and Art Festival (1994) and spoke on behalf of
Canada at the opening and
closing delegates meetings as well as at many meetings with Chinese
officials and
dignitaries. Negotiated a return to China August 1997 and 2000, 2003
ND 2007 as leader of the Canadian
delegation. Chosen to perform in the opening
ceremonies for a second time and asked to direct all groups
representing Canada as one
harmonious ensemble . Directed dance groups from across the world to
create a united picture at this festival . Represented Canada in
1994/1997/2000/2001/2002 at the Shanghai
International Festival
Delivered speeches in Mandarin at group leaders meetings with
delegates.
Organized travel arrangements for
sixty people to visit China to attend the Shanghai
Festival in 1994, 1997 and 2000. Co-ordinated fund raising from the
private and public sector
raising $10.000.00 in three months, 1994, supervised the group while
in China.
Raised $25,000 for the year 2000 trip to China.
Co-ordinated, prepared and
delivered media packages for all events and dispatched press
releases.
` Presently organising a
children's festival for Canada
Received invitation from China to
attend the Year 2007 Children’s Festival
in Shanghai.
As Artistic Director has choreographed and produced dances for World
Wide Dance
For Peace with a strong anti-war, anti-racist and united message at
special events.
