The Placement Methods
Placement Method A
When there is more than one entry within a dance category, the method
of placement is as follows;
- A third place trophy will be awarded to the dance routine with the
third highest score within the dance category; regardless of the total
score.
- A second place trophy will be awarded to the dance routine with the second
highest score within the dance category; regardless of the total score.
- A first place trophy will be awarded to the dance routine with the
first highest score within the dance category; regardless of the total
score.
- In dance routines with more than one dancer, each performer will
receive the appropriate placement ribbon (1st, 2nd or 3rd).
Note
When there is more than one entry within a dance category, the competitive
challenge lies in having one's piece compared to another piece. Thus, one
strives to excel against their dance competitor.
Placement Method B
When there is only one entry within a dance category, the method of
placement is as follows;
- A third place trophy will be awarded to a dance routine with marks
ranging between 167 and 211.
- A second place trophy will be awarded to a dance routine with
marks ranging between 212 and 256.
- A first place trophy will be awarded to a dance routine with
marks ranging between 257 and 300.
- In a dance routine with more than one dancer, each performer will
receive the appropriate placement ribbon (1st, 2nd or 3rd).
Note
When there is only one entry within a category, the competitive challenge
is non-existent. Thus, one strives to achieve the highest score possible.
